Advanced Clinical Practitioners in the ED – developing a sustainable workforce for the future

The increasing demand on emergency care services is an international phenomena. Thinking differently about how we provide a workforce solution to meet this demand is essential. This paper will describe the development and implementation of a multidisciplinary Emergency Care Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) curriculum and credentialing process in the United Kingdom. The paper with describe the role, development of the national curriculum, partnership working with Royal Colleges and professional organisations and describe new ways of working in emergency care.
